OUR VOICE

Our young dads council is a group of dads from across the region who look to campaign, tra;

  • Provide innovative research pathways
  • Create events regionally
  • Provide training for professionals
  • Campaign to provide better rights and services for young fathers.

Most recently The Young Dads Council have been working with the Baltic Centre Of Contemporary Art and International artist Albert Potrony in reaction to his ‘Equal Play’ symposium.

The culmination of this work ended in the publication of; ‘Is There A Right Time? – Through the eyes of young dads’. Alongside this our young fathers created a bespoke exhibition at Newcastle Contemporary art as part of the ‘How We Live Now – Making Space In The North East with Matrix Feminist Design Co-operative’.

We constantly look to provide opportunities for young men to challenge and overcome, social, cultural, environmental and economic barriers. We look to give young men the opportunities to work internally and with partner organisations to break the stigma that young dads are uncaring and absent.
